Our curriculum
Our curriculum is based on the philosophy that children learn best through hands-on activities that address the needs of the whole child. It reflects the belief that children need a balance of child-initiated and teacher-facilitated activities each day. We provide themes that are used to introduce information and learning takes place as a child explores and manipulates real objects and events.
At the Preschool and Pre-k level, the hands on approach includes self-help skills and applications such as going to the bathroom without help, serving themselves, pouring drinks, washing their hands, buttoning, lacing, zipping, tying shoes, and cleaning up after themselves. These self-help skills will make children confident and develop positive self-esteem.
We help children acquire social competence and the skills they need to succeed as learners. We recognize how preschool children are like in terms of their social/ emotional, physical, cognitive and language development, and the characteristics and experiences that make each child unique.
